Exporting reports
Available on: Pro and above.
Every report exports, as a CSV or Excel file, and the file arrives by email rather than downloading in the browser. The email carries a Download button, and the link stays valid for one week. Reports can also be scheduled for email delivery from each report page, alongside the exports you run yourself.
Where the file goes
Exports are emailed to the address on the Shopify account you are logged in with, which is not always the address you work from day to day. The message that appears after you click Export names the address it is going to. If an export never turns up, check that inbox before anything else.
Then check spam, since a download link from an unfamiliar sender is a common thing for mail providers to hold back.
Filters carry into the export
Whatever you have filtered on screen is what lands in the file. That is more useful than it sounds: if a report has no column for something but can filter by it, filter first and export, and the file covers just that slice.
It is also the way to get a per-vendor or per-type breakdown out of a report that has no such column - filter, export, repeat.
Working with the file
Exports open in Excel or Google Sheets. For a total, filter the report to the period you want, export, and sum the column - the reports do not total in-app.
What exports cannot do
There is no delivery to an SFTP server, and the file is not attached to the email, so the download link works for one week only.
