Report freshness

Available on: Pro and above.

Some reports read your data as it stands. Others are built from your forecast run, so they show the position as of the last time it ran rather than this minute.

Which are which

Built from the forecast run, so they show your position as of the last time it ran:

  • Inventory value
  • Dead stock
  • Overstocked
  • Stockout
  • Stockout risk

A change you made in Shopify this morning will not appear in these until the forecast runs again.

Read your data as it stands, so they are current whenever you open them:

  • Sales performance
  • ABC analysis
  • Inventory adjustments
  • Purchase orders

These two are built from your sales and your own records rather than from the forecast, so nothing needs to run first.

Refreshing them

Go to Forecast & replenishment  and click Run forecast. Those reports update once it finishes.

The forecast also runs by itself once a day, overnight in your store's timezone.

Why a number looks stale

The usual case: an adjustment or a receipt earlier today that the report has not picked up. It is not wrong, just built before the change.

Some stores are set up to read stock levels directly instead, in which case Inventory value is current rather than as-of-the-forecast. On those stores your own receipts, adjustments and stocktakes always show immediately, whatever else is set. If you are unsure which way your store is configured, ask us.

This is the same behaviour as the forecast screen itself. See the forecast is a snapshot.
