Why Is My Scheduled Notification Arriving Late?

In some cases, when a stores total number of variants is very high (e.g. over 40,000), scheduled notifications can arrive later than the time you have scheduled them for. For example, you might schedule your notification for 9AM, but actually receive it at 10AM.

This has to do with the amount of time it takes to query your stores inventory data from Shopify. Unfortunately we are currently limited by the maximum speed that Shopify will allow us to query data from their API.

Note: This issue does not affect instant notifications, and only impacts scheduled notifications and notifications sent using the "Send now" button.

If this issue is affecting your store, we recommend scheduling your notifications for prior to the time that you would actually like to receive them. For example, if you know that your notification gets delayed 30 minutes, and you would like to receive it at 9AM, you can schedule the notification for 8:30AM.
