Creating a Notification

Click the Create notification button on the Notifications page.

Specify the details for your notification, including when you'd like it to be sent and who should receive it.

Notification name

This is the name that will be displayed when your notification is delivered by email.

Notification delivery

Choose when you would like to receive notifications:

  • Scheduled notifications (default)
    • Stockie will batch all low stock items into a single email, making it easy to review everything at once.
    • You define when the email should be sent — for example, daily at 9:00 AM.
    • This option is great if you prefer a clean, consolidated overview of your low stock items.
  • Instant notifications
    • Stockie will send a separate email immediately each time a product variant drops to or below its threshold.
    • This is useful if you need to respond quickly to low stock events, especially for fast-moving or high-priority products.
    • Keep in mind: you’ll receive one email per product variant, which can result in multiple emails depending on your catalog and sales volume.

Recipients

Enter the names and email address(es) of the person or team who should receive the low stock alerts.

Locations

Choose which of your Shopify locations should be monitored by the notification.

By default, Stockie tracks inventory across all of your active locations in Shopify. However, if you only want to monitor specific locations — for example, just your warehouse or retail store — you can easily adjust this.

Products and thresholds

Once you’ve created your notification, you’ll be able to configure which products it should monitor — and set your low stock thresholds.

⚠️ Note: You must first save and create the notification before you can access the Products and thresholds page.

Click Manage products and thresholds to open a dedicated page where you can:

  • Select specific products or variants to include in the notification
  • Set custom low stock thresholds for each product variant individually
  • Use bulk editing tools to apply thresholds more efficiently

Check out Configure your products and thresholds for more info.
