Including and Excluding Products in Your Notification

Stockie gives you full control over which products should be monitored in each notification — and which ones should be ignored. You can include or exclude products using a combination of filters based on products or collections.

Include Options

Choose which products you want Stockie to monitor for low stock:

  • All Products (Storewide)

Monitor your entire catalog across all active locations.

Ideal if you want broad coverage and don’t need to filter.

  • Specific Products

Select individual products or variants to monitor.

Great if only certain items are important to track.

  • Specific Collections

Choose one or more Shopify collections to include.

Perfect for grouping related products (e.g., “Summer Line” or “Core Inventory”).

Exclude Options

Narrow down your selection further by excluding certain products from your notification:

  • None

All products matching your include settings will be monitored.

  • Specific Products

Manually exclude individual products, even if they’re part of the included set.

  • Specific Collections

Exclude entire Shopify collections to prevent them from triggering low stock alerts.

💡 Example:

You might include your entire store, but exclude a collection called “Discontinued” or certain slow-moving SKUs.

These filters give you the flexibility to tailor each notification to exactly what you care about — whether that’s your bestsellers, seasonal stock, or warehouse-only items.

Advanced Notification Threshold Editor

When using Advanced Notifications in Stockie, you’ll gain access to our powerful Threshold Editor, which gives you fine-grained control over your low stock settings — down to the individual variant level.

✅ Use Default Thresholds for Items Without Specific Thresholds

At the top of the Threshold Editor, you'll see a checkbox labeled Use default thresholds for items without specific thresholds.

  • If checked:

You can define a default threshold and default restock to value. These will automatically apply to any product variants that do not have a specific threshold or restock to value set in the table.

  • If unchecked:

Only variants that have a specific threshold set in the table will be included in the notification.

⚠️ Any variants without a threshold will be excluded from the notification, even if they are included in your product/collection filters.

This gives you the flexibility to decide whether you want broad coverage or more manual control over which products are monitored.

📦 The Product Variants Table

Below the checkbox, you'll see a table of all product variants that match the include/exclude filters you selected earlier in the notification setup.

For each variant, you’ll see:

  • Threshold: The inventory level that triggers the low stock alert.
  • Restock To: The desired inventory level you’d like to replenish to when reordering. This is used to help calculate reorder quantities.

✨ These fields auto-save as you enter them — no need to click a Save button.

📄 Bulk CSV Export & Import

Managing lots of variants? No problem.

You can:

  • Export the full table as a CSV file
  • Edit thresholds and restock values in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Import the updated CSV back into Stockie to apply your changes in bulk

This is perfect for larger catalogs or when you want to manage your data offline.
