Switching between Classic and Smart Mode

Stockie offers two ways to manage your low stock alerts — Classic Mode and Smart Mode.

Each mode provides a different level of functionality, and your pricing plan determines which one is active for your store.

To switch between Classic Mode and Smart Mode, simply change your pricing plan.

  1. Go to Pricing in the Stockie app.
  2. Review the available plans and their features.

💡 Tip: Your existing notifications remain saved when switching plans, but only the features available under your current plan will be active.

What happens when you switch

Action What changes
Upgrading to Pro (Smart Mode) Stockie enables forecasting and automatically calculates reorder points using your sales velocity, lead time, and safety stock. You’ll gain access to Smart Mode notifications and the Forecasting page.
Downgrading to Free/Basic/Advanced (Classic Mode) Forecasting features and Smart Mode notifications are disabled. Your Classic Mode notifications remain active and continue sending alerts based on your manual thresholds.

⚠️ Note: Smart Mode requires forecasting data. If you downgrade from the Pro plan, your forecast data will be deleted.
