How to manage recipients for your notifications
Recipients determine who receives your Stockie notifications. You can add, edit, or delete recipients at any time. Each recipient will receive the same email or message for any notifications they’re added to.
Adding a recipient
- From the Notifications page, click Create notification (or open an existing one).
- On the right-hand side, under Recipients, click Select or create recipients.
- Choose Create a new recipient.
- Enter the person’s first name, last name, and email address.
- Click Add recipient.
Once added, the recipient will appear in your notification’s recipient list.

Selecting an existing recipient
You can reuse recipients you’ve already created:
- Under Recipients, click Select or create recipients.
- Under Existing recipients, choose the person you’d like to add.
This is handy for adding the same contact (e.g. purchasing or warehouse teams) to multiple notifications.

Removing a recipient from a notification
To remove a recipient from a specific notification:
- Hover over their name under the Recipients list.
- Click the ✕ (Remove) icon.
This only removes them from that notification. They’ll still be available in your existing recipients list for future use.
Deleting a recipient
To permanently delete a recipient from Stockie:
- Go to the Settings page in the app.
- Under Recipients, click Delete next to the person’s name.
- Confirm deletion in the popup dialog.
⚠️ Important: If that recipient is the only contact assigned to a notification, that notification will be disabled automatically. Notifications can’t be sent without at least one active recipient.

Tips for managing recipients
✅ Add multiple recipients to each notification so coverage continues if one person is away.
✅ Keep your list current — remove outdated addresses to prevent bounces.
✅ Check delivery issues if someone isn’t receiving alerts:
- Ensure their email is correct.
- Ask them to check spam/junk or the Gmail “Promotions” tab.
