Your question Report
What is out of stock right now? Stockout
What is about to run out? Stockout risk
What is not selling? Dead stock
What am I holding too much of? Overstocked
What is my inventory worth? Inventory value
What sold, and how fast? Sales performance
Which products matter most? ABC analysis
What did I adjust, and why? Inventory adjustments
What did I order and receive? Purchase orders
Everything about one variant Variant report
What moved between my locations? Transfers

All of them live under Reports . Most need Pro. Inventory adjustments, Purchase orders and Transfers need Pro Plus, because they report on features only that plan has.

Setup: the Variant report and Transfers are both being rolled out progressively. Contact support if you would like early access to either.

Reordering is not a report

The reorder quantities you buy from live on the Forecast & replenishment screen rather than in Reports. Its export carries the columns most people are looking for when they ask for a custom report - vendor, SKU, current stock, reorder point and suggested quantity, in one file.

Which reports cover a period

Some reports answer "right now" and some answer "over a period", and it is not obvious from the names. There are three behaviours, not two:

  • A rolling window. Sales performance and ABC analysis let you choose the last 30, 60, 90, 180 or 365 days, and open on the last 30. You pick how far back to look, but not the dates themselves, so you cannot point either at last November
  • Actual dates. Purchase orders, Inventory adjustments, Transfers and the Variant report filter to the dates you choose, which is what makes them useful at month end
  • Right now only. Inventory value, Stockout, Stockout risk, Overstocked and Dead stock report your position as it stands, with no period control at all

What no report does

None of them can show you a past position - what your stock was worth on a date that has gone. See why you cannot see historical inventory.
