How products sync from Shopify

Your products, variants, locations and sales history come across from Shopify automatically. There is nothing to import and no sync button to press.

A product you create in Shopify usually appears in Stockie within about a minute.

When a product is missing

Most missing products are not sync problems. Check these first, because they look identical from the outside:

It is in Stockie but not in the forecast. Either it is outside your forecast scope, or the forecast has not run since it arrived. The forecast is a snapshot rebuilt daily or on demand - press Run forecast. See The forecast is a snapshot.

It is not in the purchase order product picker. That is usually supplier assignment rather than sync. When a supplier has auto-assign conditions, the picker narrows to them - though only vendor and tag conditions narrow it, so a supplier matched on collection or category still shows you everything. See Setting up suppliers.

It is archived in Shopify. Archived products are never offered on a purchase order. Draft products normally are, unless your store has been set up to leave them out.

It is genuinely new. Wait a minute and re-check.

If it is not one of those, and the product has been in Shopify for well past a minute, it is worth writing in.

"One or more products are still syncing"

Saving a purchase order can fail with:

One or more products on this purchase order are still syncing from Shopify. Please refresh the page and try saving again in a minute.

It means exactly what it says: one of the products on the order arrived in Shopify so recently that Stockie does not have its record yet, and a purchase order line needs that record to attach to.

Refresh the page and save again in a minute. The order is not lost - only the save was refused.

If the message persists past a few minutes, or comes back every time you save that order, contact us. That one is worth reporting rather than retrying.

What to send us

If a product is missing well past normal timing, or the syncing message will not clear:

  • The product title and SKU
  • When it was created in Shopify
  • Which screen you are looking for it on - the forecast, the purchase order picker, or somewhere else
  • The exact message, if there is one

Naming the screen matters, because "not in the forecast" and "not in Stockie" have completely different causes.
