Importing suppliers, supplier SKUs and costs from Stocky

Available on: Pro Plus.

Suppliers and supplier SKUs you can import yourself. Costs we load for you.

Suppliers first

Supplier SKUs and costs attach to suppliers that already exist in Stockie, so suppliers come first.

You can import them from a CSV on the Suppliers  page - only a name is required, and the file can also carry contact details, currency, payment terms and lead times. If your Shopify vendors are your suppliers, importing vendors as suppliers is quicker, though Shopify only holds the name, so contacts, addresses and currencies still need adding. See Setting up suppliers.

Supplier costs

Send us a spreadsheet with your products' SKUs and their cost price, and we load them as your supplier costs.

If you still have a Stocky Stock on Hand export with current cost selected, that file already has both. Any other spreadsheet works as well - a supplier price list, or your own records.

Blank and zero costs are skipped, so anything missing from the file leaves the cost you already have in place.

If your costs are already in Shopify's cost per item field, there is nothing to send. Pull from Shopify at Settings → Costs  brings them in - see Syncing costs with Shopify.

Each file is loaded in a single currency. If you buy in more than one currency, send a file per currency and tell us which each one is in. Costs loaded in the wrong currency have to be corrected afterwards.

Supplier SKUs

You can do these yourself. Go to Suppliers → [supplier] → Manage → Supplier SKUs , use Export to get a file pre-filled with that supplier's products, fill in the supplier SKU column, and Import it back. See Supplier SKUs.

SKUs only import against products already linked to that supplier, so link the products before importing.

For a large file covering many suppliers, we can load it for you. It needs three columns - the supplier name, your SKU and the supplier's SKU - and matches on your SKU only, not barcodes. Rows that cannot be matched are reported back with the reason.
