Switching from Stocky

Shopify retired Stocky on 31 August 2026. If you used it, this page walks through setting up Stockie, with each step linking to the detail.

Before you start

Your products, variants, locations and sales history come from Shopify, and sync in automatically when you install. None of that needs migrating.

What does not come from Shopify is the work you did in Stocky: your suppliers, their SKUs and costs, your purchase order history, and your min/max levels. Each of these can be set up in Stockie, and some can come from files you exported from Stocky before it closed.

1. See where Stocky's features live

The Stocky to Stockie feature map goes through Stocky's features one by one and shows where each lives in Stockie.

2. Pick a plan

Purchase orders, inventory adjustments and stocktakes need Pro Plus. Forecasting and reports need Pro.

3. Set up your suppliers

Suppliers come first, because supplier SKUs and costs attach to suppliers that already exist.

One question shapes the setup: does your Shopify Vendor field hold your suppliers, or your brands? See suppliers and Shopify vendors.

4. Bring across your data

  • Suppliers, supplier SKUs and costs - suppliers import from a CSV on the Suppliers page, and we can load SKUs and costs from a spreadsheet
  • Purchase order history - if you kept a purchase order items export from Stocky, we can import it
  • Min/max levels - set in Stockie by exporting a file of your variants, filling in the levels and importing it back

5. Set up forecasting

Lead time, safety stock and restock to are the three settings that shape every reorder suggestion. See setting lead time and safety stock.

6. Check imported open orders

Imported orders that are still to arrive come in as drafts. Before you mark them as ordered, cutting over without double-counting inventory covers what to check so the same delivery is not counted twice.
